Sally Raad

is a geopolitical affairs specialist with strong academic and operational experience in international relations, strategic development, and humanitarian policy, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe and the Middle East/North Africa (MENA). She is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations and Foreign Policy at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, and holds a Master’s in Global Security and Development Cooperation from the same institution, graduating with honors (Red Diploma).

In parallel, Sally is completing a Master’s in Strategic Studies at the Lebanese University in partnership with the Lebanese Army’s Center for Strategic Studies, positioning her at the intersection of military analysis, diplomacy, and regional crisis forecasting. Her research and fieldwork address the geopolitical dynamics of the Russia-EU-MENA triangle, global security architectures, and the operational frameworks of international cooperation.

Sally’s practical experience includes work with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Beirut, where she contributed to strategic development, political analysis, and stakeholder engagement. She has also participated in grassroots humanitarian action with ActionAid and Jesuit Refugee Service, gaining firsthand insight into the social consequences of conflict and displacement in Lebanon’s peripheries.

Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, with working knowledge of Russian, Sally combines analytical capacity with field-level adaptability. Her background in mass casualty preparedness, first responder training, and crisis reporting—through her extensive involvement with the Lebanese Red Cross—equips her with a well-rounded perspective on civil-military coordination and emergency diplomacy.

At Vidya Insight, Sally serves as a rising expert in geopolitical analysis, Eastern European security affairs, and regional stability studies, contributing to projects on strategic forecasting, diplomacy in conflict zones, and cross-regional power realignment between Europe, Russia, and the Arab world.
