He holds a PhD in Public International Law (2025, in progress) and a Master’s in Public International Law (2019) from the Lebanese University, where he also completed his Bachelor of Law in 2014.

Since 2014, Mr. Abou Taha has practiced as a lawyer before the Lebanese Military Tribunal and the Disciplinary Council, representing clients in complex defense, administrative, and security-related cases. Since 2017, he has also served as a legal advisor and IHL trainer with the Lebanese Army, providing guidance on military conduct, rules of engagement, and compliance with international conventions.

His expertise is reinforced by advanced international legal training, including specialized coursework with the Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS-USA) on the Legal Aspects of Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and certified training in International Humanitarian Law at the Fouad Shehab Command and Staff College. He also participated in a human rights trainer program conducted by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
