Mohamed El-Cheikh

is a highly experienced security and risk management expert, with over three decades of strategic, operational, and advisory leadership in the Lebanese Armed Forces, government ministries, and international organizations. He specializes in civil-military coordination, crisis response, humanitarian mine action, procurement security, and strategic logistics, and has contributed to major national and regional security initiatives across the MENA region.

Holding two Master’s degrees—in Strategic Studies (Lebanese University & Lebanese Army War College) and Public Procurement Management (University of Rome Tor Vergata)—Mr. El-Cheikh blends field experience with academic rigor. His extensive military and civilian training includes certifications from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, James Madison University, and the Defense Resources Management Institute, among many others.

He has led high-level missions in mine risk education, disaster preparedness, food security response, and border threat assessment, working with international actors such as UNMAS, IFRC, WFP, and the World Bank. Notably, he designed and executed national programs on CBRN risk reduction, explosive ordnance management, and post-conflict victim assistance, and has participated in international training and advocacy initiatives in Tunisia, Sudan, Jordan, Norway, and beyond.

As Advisor to the Lebanese Ministry of Interior, he coordinated national response strategies for the COVID-19 pandemic, supervised election security planning, and acted as liaison with the EU, UNDP, and Arab League on election logistics, governance, and public safety. He also contributed to Lebanon’s Public Procurement Reform Law, showcasing his cross-sectoral legal-policy engagement.
